I was driving on the interstate with my 3 year old son in the back seat. As i was in traffic all of a sudden i felt a loss of power and the wrench light went on. I was almost hit multiple times, but luckily was able to force it to the side of the road. I sat there for a couple minutes and then started the car normally and drove home. It was a scary experience and one that i hope ford takes care of. *tr

Driving 50 miles per hour, when a wrench lit up on dash and instantaneously the vehicle lost power to the throttle. Pulled over quickly, turned off vehicle, then restarted and went on about my way. Very scary and so scared it could happen in a busy traffic situation. *tr

Upon starting the vehicle it operates as it should, once the rpm slow to an idle the vehicle will surge and stall at idle. At slow speeds (10-20 mph) the vehicle will surge and stall when the throttle is applied. The vehicle shuts down and steering and braking abilities are minimal, the vehicle will surge at speeds of 45mph however it does not stall at this speed. On the highway at a speed of 70 mph the vehicle will…

I have had this vehicle for one year, and it would be impossible to recount all of the times it has stalled on me while driving it. It has stalled in parking lots, in heavy stop-and-go traffic, making turns, pulling into my driveway, and accelerating to enter the freeway. It started within two months of purchase. I took it to a ford dealership in august of 2014 where they performed recall work which included…

During rush hour traffic on a busy highway, while attempting to accelerate from approximately 50 mph, the gas pedal become unresponsive, i began quickly losing speed, and a "wrench" light came on. I was in the right hand lane with a wide shoulder and was able to pull over before slowing to a complete halt. Had i been in a center lane or on a stretch with no shoulder, there could have easily been a severe accident.…

Car stalled. Wrench and engine light came on. We were going down a road that had no place to pull over. We were stuck in the middle of the road. Turned off car and restarted but was very slow to start. We turned around and went back home and it did it several more times. Called local ford dealership and is going to cost over $400 to fix. This is a very dangerous problem and the part should be recalled. *tr

This vehicle has now been back to the dealer three times to fix the adaptive transmission. On occasion the vehicle lurches when shifting gears. The problem is especially acute having backed out of the garage and when putting the car into drive in the first 300 feet the vehicle "kickbacks". The dealer can only reboot the adaptive transmission. This resets the car for about one week and afterwards the vehicle goes…
