Parking Brake
The vehicle was parked in a flat parking lot and the parking brake failed. The first time, the parked car rolled backwards and hit a sign. No person was injured. I thought that pehaps the pedal was not fully depressed. The second time, about 3 weeks later, the vehical rolled backwards and hit another vehicle. Parking Brake
The parking brake on our 2007 ford escape does not work. We took the vehicle to tiffany ford on february 18, 2009 to be adjusted. The vehicle has 26,000 miles on it. The service manager stated afterward the brakes were in good shape and he did not understand why the emergency was not adjusting. Within 2 weeks the brake has become loose again and we will be taking it back to the dealer for a second time. *tr

The consumer had the brakes checked and was told the brake pads separated, and that was why she was not able to slow down the vehicle. The parking brakes froze once the brakes were on and the consumer was unable to release the brakes without getting under the vehicle to pull the cable. *ak *sc

Parking Brake
9-1-04 my 2005 ford escape was parked in the garage of my home where i began to back up. There was an obstruction in my driveway so i put the car into drive and pulled 1/2 way into the garage to clear the way. I put the car in park, opened my door, took off my seatbelt and got out of my car walking towards the rear. Suddenly the car accelerated in reverse knocking me down because of the open door. I jumped into the…
